While some students call him The Geekiest Teacher in Pearland, Mr Gorse just tries to give the kids a lot of real world experience and application of the concepts he teaches at Pearland High School.
As a technology instructor in the CTE Department at PHS, he uses his website www.MrGorse.com as a place to inform parents and students about his classes and even provide course material downloads for some classes.
He may or may not actually be “The Geekiest Teacher in Pearland” - you decide.

I’ve revamped the www.SodaBlastSystems.com website to include a DB driven product catalog. Although prices are not shown, this medium provides the clients a fast, easy way to update their product offerings. Strategic links to their associated sites enables efficient indexing of their sites. They sell “The Genuine SodaBlasterâ„¢” specifically designed and engineered for optimum performance and quality. Others imitate their products - buy the real thing!
Here’s what they do: SodaBlast Systems takes great pride in manufacturing the highest quality soda blast equipment, using the best materials, workmanship, and customer care. Our name plate on every blast pot give evidence of our full compliance with the ASME and National Board Code requirements. We offer many different size blast pots, and configurations.
They serve vertical markets like www.sodablastboats.com, www.sodablastcars.com with Sand Blasting products available via www.MMLJ.com.

As a web developer I am oftem asked about Search Engine (SE) visibility. Of course everyone wants page 1, number 1 for their niche. Many businesses may not have the budget that gets another site to the top. I know there are services that do that for the big $$. I recently got a copy of one of those ‘offers’ from a client whose site is in redesign -services are strangely akin to the whole strategy I laid out months ago - think Web 2.0 stuff…
A Houston real estate & mortgage pro I know asked me first for some optimization on a large site he has created with an ASP. I worked my through adding a few new pages and optimizing all page title, headers, keywords and descriptions throughout the site- yes, the old-fashioned way! They say content is king so remember to match your meta-tags and page titles to the page content gaining high relevancy points.
This client then asked about gaining visibility in certain niches in his area. Luckily he’s very specific and the content was easy to recreate from his main site. Basically we were building a funnel. They didn’t need to be spectacular sites from a design perspective (though they are pretty nice).
I’ve been using a tactic on response forms of just titling them with “Rapid Response Form” - SUBLIMINAL MARKETING - so I added a mini form to accomplish that too.
While I was at it I added link bar in the footer to all the associated sites for a little link exchange action.
BTW - The master website reached page 1 in Yahoo on all 3 or 4 of the major targets we were after. This inspired the phase 2 niche sites. The sites are creeping up in Google too, but a little harder to move to the top. Mostly got pages 1-3, but multiple listings - remember I said to customize tags, headers and content.
Use this info any way you’d like. Some may dispute my approach. But I have ongoing proof it works. And don’t feel bad about posting links on blog to a website (snicker) it helps too. It really helps when you then use your own Yahoo (or other) account to monitor your blog… You should try it!

In the past, the only way you could really clean, remove paint or some other unsightly material from an exterior contaminated surface, was to either chip it off, sand blast it, use harsh chemicals, or hand sand it until your arm fell off, or your equipment failed.
These 2 brothers came up with the solution, Jerry LeCompte and Benny LeCompte from SBS, LLC in Houston, TX.
With SodaBlasting, any surface can be cleaned or coatings of any kind can also be stripped from a substrate both efficiently and safely. It is very similar to traditional sand blasting yet has the significant advantage of cleaning the surface without causing any harm to the substrate or the environment. Get a real SodaBlaster for the job!
This site leads to the next group of related sites I’ll be redesigning and optimizing for SEO.
